The story so far
Rome's greatest general holds the line against the army of Egypt's queen. Cleopatra knows she can't beat him by force alone, so she sends a temptation into his war tent and watches him struggle. In episode 1 Caesar keeps reminding himself that he has a wife and an empire to protect. By episode 2 the lines blur: her forces have overrun an eastern camp, he storms in to confront her, and the face-off turns into something far more complicated. She also has news that changes the stakes: she is expecting his heir.
