The story so far
Jake is engaged to Sophie and about to spend a lakeside holiday with her family. Sophie's mother, Mrs. Veronica Parker, takes one look at him and starts teasing. Her husband is running late, so Veronica has the guests to herself, and over dinner she cuts in for a dance with her daughter's fiance, telling him to relax in a tone that does the opposite. Episode 2 sends Sophie to town for work, and Veronica asks Jake for help with some stretching, then drops an invitation to the shower.
Why Spice 2
Warming up: forbidden mother-in-law tension, a lakeside house and a fiancee who is rarely in the room. It stays a slow burn through slow dances, loaded invitations and near-misses, and free viewing keeps the temperature low.
