The story so far
Harriet has one shift left on her probation, and the head nurse, Vanessa, has been waiting to watch her get fired. The chief of surgery sees it differently. In episode 1 he finds Harriet in the quiet on-call room, mentions that the floor goes silent after the last operation, and puts Vanessa on door duty with a firm instruction: nobody interrupts. Harriet worries about her scrubs. He doesn't. In episode 2 Vanessa lingers outside, growing more suspicious the longer the room stays closed.
